About Us

Born in Massachusetts, USA, After Hours grew out of a simple idea: food is our most impactful path to connection, curiosity, collaboration, and culture. Today, we travel the world for 2–3 month residencies in cities where local ingredients, artisans, and communities inspire every dish. Our table is your invitation to experience a place through its flavors, stories, and people.

Kevin Kelly

Kevin Kelly is the founder and owner/operator of After Hours. He grew up in The Berkshires of Massachusetts, surrounded by some of the best farms and produce in the US. At the age of 14, he started his restaurant career at a local restaurant, Allium Restaurant and Bar, serving locally and seasonally sourced ingredients. He was instantly hooked on the upbeat and lively atmosphere of the food industry. Over the next ten years, he would hold nearly every position in the restaurant industry, notably cooking in some of Boston's most highly awarded kitchens (including Chickadee and Field & Vine). After his stint in Boston, he then turned to pursuing his passion for cooking. In the Fall of 2023, his final semester attending Babson College, he launched After Hours.

After Hours started with a young food-obsessed cook who took a shot at building a vision he could only explain through the food he put on a plate. Acknowledging the difficulty in opening a brick-and-mortar restaurant, economic shifts within The Berkshires’ food system, a dwindling labor force, and intense seasonality, the nomadic restaurant was born. With a mission to collaborate with local businesses, rather than compete, After Hours evolved to working with over 150 local businesses and hosting more than 250 events in The Berkshires, MA region in less than two years.

Our human desire for connection and collaboration through food exists stronger than ever, and in recognition of this, we have decided to bring After Hours to the world - all with the mission to learn, explore, and create, while simultaneously developing memorable and meaningful dining experiences that honor local food systems, foster human connection, and showcase collaboration as the star ingredient.

Starting in January 2026, After Hours GB will continue as After Hours Global, expanding our mission of collaboration over competition to the world.
